Provincial Colonel Barrett's farm encountered a group of armed militia at Concord North Bridge. | On Feb. 25, 1775, British forces march on Salem with orders to seize 19 cannon collected by the colonial militia. | He even disassembled some of the cannon and buried them in furrows on his own farm. It made no difference.
